Entering the private courtyards of De Courcelles. The project by Nature Humaine interprets the space as multiple ”courcelles”, defined as small courtyards. For each one, a special usage. From the basement to the exterior, six courcelles compose the space of two residential lots merged into one. Within the space, the courcelles are connected by foot bridges or separated by partition walls. Outside, each lot retains a distinctive identity with different surface treatment. Two types of bricks used to resurface the two buildings.
