Conceived by the Vives St-Laurent studio, this comprehensive renovation project is part of an approach that fosters a dialogue between heritage and reinterpretation. The mandate was to rethink the house as a whole while preserving its historic charm.
The renovation is characterized by meticulous attention to detail. New moldings were designed to recreate a period feel, reaffirming the continuity between the existing structure and contemporary design elements. In the living room, two built-in bookcases on either side of the fireplace structure the space: they create a soothing visual symmetry while meeting a practical need for storage and functionality.
Marble, present in various areas of the home, serves as a unifying material theme. This classic material is complemented by the black-painted metal stair railing, whose design evokes traditional elements while adopting a decidedly contemporary aesthetic.
In the living room, an edb sofa is paired with two PK22 chairs. The DIV-15 sofa is available online and in-store. Fully removable covers.
